Workout, Work, Weary....Success!

Anyone like that title? I'm pooped! Thanks for the prayers if you sent any up on my behalf today. I am always thankful to return home safe at the end of my daily travels. It actually went really well, just busy.  T and I had a terrific 5 miler this morning that could only be described as perfect. The weather was beyond ideal for a run, we had a great pace the entire run and I went home energized. I left the house by 6:30 am so that I could pick up my boss from Midland airport at 9 am. We had a good day, but I was upset with myself for grumbling about the heat when it was still 10 degrees cooler than it has been all summer in the afternoon.  I guess I was a bit spoiled yesterday by the sub 90 temp.

No real exciting news today. I felt like I left all my energy outside my back door which kinda feels like leaving all you have out on the track.   It feels good to know that I gave today all I had.  I'm not sure I do that often enough.  I know I could have done more and I know I could have done less, but I can say for a fact that I'm glad that I was determined and committed to pursuing my goals.  During our annual 4th of July trip to TN, I saw this little sign in one of my favorite shops in Collierville.  I know that we all measure success in different ways, but for some reason this sign spoke to me.  Hope you like it as much as I did!  I wish I had bought it, but I think I will make another sticky tag for my car, I mean, office, so that I can be reminded of why writing my goals out are so important.  If you can't put your goals down on paper, and acknowledge them, how do you know how to achieve them?  Thank you Willard Tate for pressing the importance of goal setting in my life.  I owe many of my successful moments to you.

To close out the post, I have a lot of fun things coming up such as meet the teacher for two of our kiddos and the Swingin' Tex-Fest so be sure to check back over the next couple of days if your interested.
