Being Flexible

Happy Thursday! One more day of the work week!! Hooray!  Since I ran yesterday I slept in until 6:30, and then laid in bed until 6:50.  This is never a great idea but I could see the clouds outside and I wanted it to just start pouring. Amazingly enough with the radar showing rain all around us, Abilene was able to put up the ginormous umbrella again. Ugh. I did run into a few sprinkles on my way out of town so I'm not sure if they got any more after I left.
I wanted to wear flip flops this morning to work, I was procrastinating putting on the heels.
I started off the day stressed about how I was going to make my schedule work. I was suppose to have a lunch in town but needed to do the majority of my work 1.5 hrs away and I have a teleconference later that I need to call in on. As luck would have it my lunch was canceled so I was able to zip out of town instead of having to wait until after the lunch.

Once I got to Stephenville and did my work this morning I stopped in Barefoot Market and Cafe and picked up this most amazing smoothie. Every time I work here I stop in for a healthy treat. This also has to be one of the nicest businesses to walk into. EVERYONE there is so positive and upbeat, it guarantees a change of mood just by stepping in the door.  Rockin Red Velvet is my #1 choice, but Sunshine Kid is a close #2.  If you are ever there for some reason, be sure to grab one! Tell them the crazy girl from Abilene sent you.  They know me. ;) ha!

I had a mid morning snack, Kashi granola bar. I heart Kashi and so does Mark and the kids. We love the cereal and just found out they make pizzas as well. They are packed with some nutrition and not covered in tons of cheese.  Highly recommend!! Also, the cereal is a bit crunchy so if you let it soak in vanilla almond milk for a minute it is perfection.
Kinda funny taking a picture of yourself while you eat lunch in your car and update your blog.  It is amazing what  I can fit in that quick 30-45 minutes.  I love blogging from the phone, this has gotten much easier!
Side note, should I get my hair cut? It is getting super long and not much of a style. My mom suggested it was time, but I responded back that I'm growing it out like Rapunzel. Think about what a handy thing that would be.  I told her I could wet down my hair, walk through my house and then my floors would actually be mopped. Seriously, it is a great idea. How about the fact that when I'm by myself in public with all 3 kids, I could tie hair around the one that I don't have a hand to hold with. These are fantastic ides people, we need to contemplate this idea of continuing to grow it out. I say there is no limit!!!!

Tonight's plans consist of putting away the laundry I folded yesterday and to go for a bike ride. I did 30 minutes!! Seriously considering the pillow on the seat. ;) I did that too!  I'm not sore today but I have a feeling once I sit on the seat again, soreness will immediately show up.  It did!! However, toward the end of my ride I removed the pillow and I actually felt better!  I'm a dork.  I know this.  Planning on a run in the morning so I'm praying for another good night of sleep and cooler temps.  Hope you all have had a fantastic day!!

Questions for the day:

1.  Do you have a favorite smoothie recipe?

2.  Do you run in minimalist or 0 degree heel drop shoes?  How long did it take you to transition?

3.  Are you totally on my side to keep the hair long and put it to use?  Want to join my new long hair crusade!
