Sunday Long Runday

I cannot express how terrific our long run went on Sunday morning. T and I met up at our usual long run starting point and decided that we wanted to accomplish an 8 mile run. We hit the road with a few sprinkles here and there, but the most awesome part was being able to see God's beautiful display in te dark sky.  It was lightning to our north and a distant rumble in the background.  The clouds began to illuminate as the sun began to rise. The clouds looked as though they belong out across a stormy sea. We decided to take to the highway that passes by our local airport. The road was empty and the space around us was vast. We quickened our pace on our return back for the second half of our run. I was so proud of our effort and felt fantastic.
I promise you can see the clouds and all of its 'awesomeness' on my phone screen!!!

When I got home I mixed together some pancake batter and jumped in the shower.  Quickly I pulled myself together and everyone else and then we headed out for church.  I am able to pay better attention after a great run, I felt so alive!

We came home and napped for a bit and when I woke we had the most tremendous rain. It rained for several hours and I let the kids put on their swimsuits and play in it. They had a blast and I enjoyed watching them.

My kids were so wired they were climbing the walls!

We ended the day and the last evening of summer with a family movie.  Before we loaded everyone into bed, we picked put outfits, put folders with all the paperwork filled put inside.  The kids were ecstatic about school starting and I had difficulty sleeping because I was anxious as well.... More about the first day of school later.....
