Monday, Monday, Monday

Here we are again, Monday. Reflecting on our weekend, we got a lot of work done but physically I am exahusted from not resting. I don't know how I can say that since we were in bed by 8 pm last night.  We were all tired, after being out in the sun all day without a nap to break up the day after church, Macy fell asleep during dinner.   Needless to say that was my cue for us all to wind down for the day. We put Macy to bed at 6, and the other 2 kids were down by 7. It was wonderful.
Sunday morning was perfect because it started off with a 7mile run. The weather was nice and we kept a decent pace along the way.  We are gearing up for another run at the Children's Miracle Half in November, but are contemplating the Full Meal Deal, all 26.2 of it.  I think we need to keep training and see how we feel before we commit.  Right now though, if things keep going as well as they are, I would be thrilled to get a Full under my belt.  As you all know I was training for a Full when my back situation happened and missed getting to run in San Francisco.  Prayers would be appreciated for continued health as that has not bothered me once since the surgery!

Back to Sunday, I will fill you all in soon about what we are working on but for the time being just know that it takes an enormous amount of physical labor and dirt to complete.  The kids get absolutely filthy, but the  dirt always prompts Macy to want a photoshoot.

As for this morning, we did a quick 3 mile recovery run, but I came home, showered and hopped back in bed for another 45 minutes. Amazingly enough it was just 6:45 by the time I got back up. Talk about dragging today. I'm in great spirits though and just finished enjoying my packed lunch.  Might I say that the go-gurt was actually delicious. The kids never want the blue blueberry but want the pink strawberry one instead.  They are crazy but now I will use that to my advantage. Yum!!  Just thankful none ended up on my clothes. Knowing me I would explain this to everyone the rest of the day what it was because I like to point out that kinda thing.  I also look to explain myself if I trip.  Why is that?  I think I've told that about myself before.  Maybe I'm afraid of people laughing at me so I decide that if I can make a joke about it first it won't bother me?  Who knows?  I'm sure there is some deep rooted reason, but we're not going to go there.

To finish off the day I definitely cheated so that I could stay awake on the drive home.  I most definitely bought some Twizzlers to gnaw on to keep me focused on my drive.  I think the money would have been better spent on a triple shot Starbucks drink.  Mark is tired too, so he is scoring us some Chinese for dinner tonight. Hooray!  No cooking!!

What can I say, this was an exhausting Monday!  I can't imagine how we will all feel after next Monday when the kids go back to school!!!!

Do you have a favorite "kids only" treat that you sneak so they don't catch you?

What is your favorite, "I'm tired, let's have takeout" meal?
Chinese for me!

Are you a fan of Twizzlers? Traditional, Bits, Watermelon, Pull-Apart?
I just recently decided that I liked Twizzlers.  As you all know, Hot Tamales have been my go to, but I'm liking the Twizzler thing because they can't get lost in my car, or melt in my hand.  They are pretty good travel candy.  My dentist would be so disappointed.

I took off the comment moderation thing where you have to type in the strange letters for your post to go through.  Thanks Jennifer! I didn't know that it made it difficult to comment if you were on your iPhone.  Hopefully you will all want to answer questions now!  :)

Is it a tank? ;)

1) My kids aren't old enough, so I hide everything! ;)
2) Pizza - this is a new one bc we just found an awesome pizza place (not pizza hut or dominoes - not even close to this place!)
3) I hate twizzlers

Hooray! It works. I was also going to say that I used twizzlers for Bruisers bday party decoration this weekend even tho I don't like them. Post pending. For some reason it wouldn't let me finish my comment. Too wordy, I guess. ;) Oh well.
