The kids are napping and I should be doing something productive other than playing with my camera or blogging, however some things are beyond being helped. These are just some snapshots from around the house today. Nothing important, just playing around, giving total strangers a look into my day.
This guy is hanging out in my backyard right now, eating our fish.
I have a headache and took some of this. Love it. Miss the good ole' Vioxx days because a really bad headache would be gone with the snap of a finger. I'm aware that it is strange that I'm taking a picture of medicine. I was working on my shutter speed with low light. Amazing the difference shooting with 400 ISO and 1000 ISO in a poorly lit pantry.
The reason I have a headache is probably due to this mess.......
This is my sewing machine. I like it. I like that it only fails me once in awhile. Sometimes it can be mean to me too and mess up the backside of my stitches. BUT, then I rethread it and it's great again.
This is one of my new fun projects. Fabric necklaces!! I saw a tutorial here on Joy's Hope blog. By the way, she has a fabulous blog. I want to have her creativity. She is just a colorful person and I love that! She makes the cutest messy flowers and sells them on her Etsy site here. I tried to make some for Ella. I was experimenting.
This is a stack of fabric remnants. Scraps can make really beautiful things and then you forget that they were leftovers, but in fact inspiration for some really great projects. Hmmmmm, that's a good thought for the day. Points to ponder.
I decided that since kids were napping I might as well start on dinner so we're having this.....
Santa Fe Soup and no, I do not normally stack my cans of food. It's a photo op people, cans of food. Ha, ha. Hoping this will warm up my insides and take care of the headache if in fact the medicine does not.
There you have it. My day. Stay warm everyone, especially those of you out East!!!

You're so funny!! Loving the bits of your life. I'm thinking about making that a once a week type post for me.

I too just started making fabric necklaces and hairpieces and I love it. So much fun. Your flowers are super cute! I am a new follower btw!
my fav. pic is the one of the sewing machine....great job!
Your kids are so cute! I guess fabric flowers are real popular right now. I'm making them for my etsy shop too, along with other jewelry. Fun!!
The soup was EXTRA yummy, I can say that first hand! :) Thanks for thinking of me (or is it feeling sorry for me and the sickness that resides in our home!?) and bringing some over. LOOOOVED it! And love you, girly!
