My Exquisite Taste

Ahhhh, the finer things in life....I'm pretty sophisticated I'll have you know. When it comes to snacking I only treat myself to the best.......

Okay, so I lied.  I do however love the yummy, buttery goodness of Ritz crackers with Laughing Cow spreadable cheese.  Some people like brie, gouda or other gourmet cheeses that I cannot even prounounce, but not me.  I'm in love with the buy one get one sale on a cheese that has a cartoon cow laughing at me.  Nevermind a laughing cow with pierced ears.

My other fave that my inlaws surprised the kids with the other night were the Lofthouse iced and sprinkled soft sugar cookie.  Too bad that these cavity creators were consumed by an out of control sugar addict, whom will remain nameless, who should have stayed away.  I felt, I mean the unnamed suspect felt horrible for eating up such a special treat meant for the smiling children.  Oops.  Yep, "Surprise Kids!  You're special treat is all gone!!"

Lastly, this is slowly becoming an addiction.  Having gone without caffeine for months on end while pregnant, I was able to identify with a whiff of my nose whether the coffee I was drinking was leaded or unleaded.  Decaf just has a taste to it.  I decided one day to look up the recipe for making a vanilla latte with our new espresso machine.  (And que the addiction counselor).  Regular coffee is no longer attractive to me.  I must pour that glorious vanilla syrup and froth the low fat milk to the precise degree of 165F and watch the tiny shot glasses fill with that dense, dark, delicious caffeine.......can you smell it?  Can you??  I love the final touch of foam that forms on the top of my cup as I pour out the remaining steamed milk into my cup and then I feel it.  I feel like a true Barista.  PLUS, I probably saved myself $4-5.  And then I feel thrifty!

There you have it.  My faves and craves. Can anyone identify?

No wonder we are such good friends! We both love the same things!! You left off some other of our faves though...like Hot Tamales in bulk!, Girl Scout Cookies (boxes and boxes of them!), and Pumpkin Spice Latte's (several every week in the fall!). Just had to remind you!

I adore Laughing Cow Cheese. Have you tried it with strawberries? The original flavor is fabulous with fruit...I am really enjoying your blog. It makes me want to get up and do something...and yet, I'm too drawn to your writings to leave the computer...
