Inspiration! That's what I got from taking Mark's pictures the other night. So, I decided I wanted to try again with the kids. I still need to work on some that I took of Macy, in fact, a redo maybe in order on that one. My editing skills are not good enough to remove THAT much drool! Once again, these pictures are me using the Time Machine preset to up the color saturation.
Actually, I don't think I used the Time Machine on this one?? I can't remember. He just really has beautiful blue eyes. Still loving my patch of green weedy grass!
This is another one where I know I used the filter. It really makes her blue eyes pop!! The other thing that I believe helps this is the color of the coat and even the bit of lining inside the jacket help the filter to really make color go, "Kapow!"
Ahhhhh, my big boy! Can you believe he is almost 3??? I'm going to have to make a separate post on that one.
As for locations for taking pictures, apparently I'm all about using this one side of my house. Remember, I'm practicing. :) As for this picture and the ones of Ella up like Hayden is, well, they are sitting on top of my air conditioning unit. Ha. I'm struggling here to get some different locations. By the way some of these pictures are not coming through as clear on Blogger as they are when I look at them in Picasa. Anyone know why?
And then the big, cheesy, I'm-done-with-you-taking-my-picture-Mom, smile comes out. That's a wrap. Ha. I've always wanted to say that.
By the way, this is the shirt I used. I actually embellished an old tank top that had gotten too small and added the extra fabric at the bottom and made some yo-yo's for the top corner. I had so much fun, I went to Old Navy and bought several more tanks to add to for this summer. I had no idea that the coat would work so well with it! Love happy accidents!

Great job on the shirt! Where did you get the filters that you used to edit with? Are these all in Lightroom?
Great pics!
Thanks! Actually this was done in Corel Paint Shop Photo Pro X2. I used the time machine effect. There are different eras you can pick from and this one is called Cross Process.
Still loving your pictures! You are doing great! When's my next lesson again? ;)
Love those pictures! It helps to have some pretty blue eyes to work with:)
I love Ella's shirt!!! You must tell me how you made "yo-yos", the girls need shirts with them!!
Those pics are awesome! Chad is also a professional with the photography programs. The pictures are great to begin with and then he makes them better. For every picture, it's about 30 minutes to edit it...yes, it annoys me sometimes (frequently), but they sure do turn out great. You really have a knack for photography. Keep it up! You can take the kids to HSU. We had our engagement pics there and it's awesome. And, of course, ACU, but then you'll have to load up 3 kids!
It's looking good...you've got beautiful subject though. :)
