We had an exciting, busy weekend. First off, Mark played music twice on Saturday and once on Sunday. Saturday morning in Midland and then that night in
Ballinger. Thanks to all of our friends that came out to support him and of course
TexStar!! It was a fun gig! I added a picture of Ella and two of her friends Callie and Luke dancing to "Ring of Fire", Luke's request!

Our friends, The
Doke's came with us out to
Ballinger to hear Mark play and stay at Mark's parent's lake house at Lake Ivie. We had a great time, except for the fact that I came down with a 24 hour stomach bug, so I definitely was not the life of the party. Thanks Ben and Leslie for putting up with my whining!! On Sunday before we headed back to Midland they got a call that one of their new Longhorns had her baby so we stopped in Robert Lee to check on the new baby!
Soooo cute!!

While we were there, Ben, Leslie and Mark all decided it would be a great idea to run around in the rain to wrangle the Longhorns back up to the house. They all were soaked to the bone and Mark had unfortunately left his bag in his parents car so he borrowed some of Ben's coveralls. Here is the cute picture of them looking like ex-con's. Notice Mark is definitely high watering. I love it! Thanks Ben for the extra clothes!!

Oh, ignore the houses behind the guys. We were pulled over eating at the Dairy Queen in Sterling City and that was what was across the street. You too could own one of those homes for $900.00!!! They've been moved from somewhere and still have wheels underneath them!!

Unfortunately after we got home, my parents stopped by to let us know that my Aunt and Uncle's home had been struck by lightning. Eight firetrucks had to come put it out, but because of the storm still going on they couldn't fight the fire from ladders. They could have been struck too. So, the house really burned. I had a chance to go by on Monday to check out the damage and it was awful. It brought me to tears and it isn't even my house. They had lived there for over 30 years. Fortunately for their safety they had been out of town and have another home that they vacation at that they can live, but right now it is still shocking to say the least. Please pray that they will be comforted during this trying time.
Hopefully, life will slow down for us for awhile. I have a feeling it won't. Oh, also, Ella decided to come down with the stomach bug while sitting in my lap at a restaurant last night. I have a feeling "The King and I" do not want us to return for a very long time.......if ever again! Ha!!! Yikes!!! Thankfully, Ella is better this morning and slept great last night. Hope none of you catch it!!!!

Looks like a fun and busy weekend! How did Hayden do with all the travel and loud music?
Let us know if Mark is ever playing near us...we'd love to go watch/hear him!
Ella looks so much bigger than when we saw her in Feb...can't believe it!
