Sleep!
It has come once again in my Mommy day's that I am thankful!!! Well, I'm thankful EVERYDAY, but in terms of when your child decides to sleep through the night, you are extra thankful!! All last week Hayden was starting to stretch out his nights from 10pm to 5:30am, then this weekend we made it to 6:30 and this morning we made it to 7:10am!!! The 10 minutes mean alot! Ha! Just kidding. However, you would think one would feel terrific after having a full night of sleep since oh..... 11 months ago. Yes, you all think that the sleepless nights begin when the baby comes home from the hospital, but not true. If any of you have ever been pregnant you know too well the middle of the night bathroom breaks one must take. Then you think after the baby decides to sleep through the night that you sleep too. Once again, if any of you have had a newborn, you know too well that feeling when you wake on your own to realize that it is an hour or two past their normal wake time that something could possibly be wrong. You panic, you think through the worst case senario, then you take a deep breath and walk to the baby's room to see if they are still breathing. Then after you see everything is okay you want to cheer because your baby is actually still sleeping, then you tip toe back to your room and then you can't go back to sleep because you are just positive that they are going to wake up any second, plus you are too busy counting on your fingers how many hours they have been asleep. It is wild being a Mom, but I LOVE IT!! This is the best thing in the whole world and I wouldn't trade a second of it. Happy Mother's Day, a little belated, to all the Momma's out there!!
