Happy September!

Hey everyone! Thanks for everyones comments on my hair vote! I am definitely pondering over the comments and I'll let you know what I decide. You never know with me! I could yank out the scissors tonight! :)

Anyway, just thought I would share one of my crafting projects from last week. I found the cutest blog, Melly and Me and these girls are from Australia. They have the cutest dolls and stuffed animals. Never thought I would make one, but after seeing their blog I thought it would be fun to make a go at it. Of course I did not buy their tutorial or pattern, just went for it. Now my mother has informed me that Daisy the Dodo is not the cutest thing she has ever seen, but I for one think it is great. Ella loves it even more and has carried it all over the place. I just really liked all of Melly and Me's characters because they use so much fun fabric. Here is my attempt. Be sure to go to their blog to see what real semstresses can do!! Maybe I'll get better with time! I have several more that I'm wanting to attempt!

Be sure to tune back in to see what our next project at the Powell household entails. Let's just say it requires alot of work, alot of wood and alot of time in the heat......Yikes!! (Sounds like the intro to a scary movie if you ask me.)

Adorable!! You have so much hidden talent:)

I forgot to vote on your hair! I love #2 and #3. So cute and sassy! I love it brown (but like Brooke said, you will always be blonde in my mind!)

Side note...I am wondering if I have your correct email/cell number...can you email them when you get a chance???

I don't think the kids will really care if it looks like a real animal or not...it's unique. Just has to be squeezable and totable. :) You are turning into a full blown Suzie-Homemaker. Something I will never be... :)
