My child has the strange ability to lay down and fall asleep anywhere. I found Hayden today like this in our living room / kitchen area. I actually think he was throwing a temper tantrum and I left the room I returned to find him asleep on the floor. All I can say is, "wow." You must have really worn yourself out to sleep on the hardwood floor.

In other news, everyone say a prayer this weekend as I attempt my first half marathon in San Antonio. Mark is staying behind to watch the kiddos while I brave the 13.1 miles. I'm more worried about being trampled by the other 29,999 runners and the fact that the low the night before is 36 and the high Sunday is in the low 60's. We run at 7:30 am. It should be nice for long distance running, but I have a feeling that I may have a deep to the bone chill when the run is completed that only a super hot shower can cure!! Until then I guess you'll have to wait for a new post!

Okay...I just love Hayden! He is so cute! And I, too, love his ability to fall asleep anywhere! So funny! As for Saturday...better you than me! You will do GREAT! Maybe I'll join you one day on another half-marathon...after we have our 3rd kiddo and I can get serious with you!!! ;) Love you! And just remember, you are an ATHLETE, you will do GREAT! ;)
Good Luck. I did a half-marathon in Dallas and it was loads of fun! Enjoy it... you have trained hard for it. (OH, I am a lurker. My parents (Steve and Ellen Everett) and Bishop and Mary were best buddies when we were little kids.) Anyway, found your blog through Whitney's :)
Go Meredith! I know you will do great on your half. I need to get back on track with my running. I fell off the wagon about a month ago. It wasn't my fault my husband worked late for about a week and I could go because of the kids. It is my fault that I have not got back on the wagon, but in my defense I have been biking. I can take the kids with me then. I have one of those trailers.
I'm just like Hayden-I could sleep anywhere and pretty much anytime! I know you'll do great in the marathon!! I'll be thinking of you. You are inspiring for someone like me that couldn't run up the driveway.
Our dog loves sleeping on our hardwood, but mostly bc she's so hot all the time. It must be nice to sleep so easily. :) Great idea with Mark's b'day. My dad's is Dec 30 and we almost always get 1 bigger gift...mostly bc we don't know what to get him at all! I thought that maybe if we had a baby around Christmas (was our plan, but not God's) we might celebrate 1/2 birthdays instead. Great idea. And I hope you have lots of tunes for the run, you crazy runner girl.
I seriously cannot believe Hayden! The world has to come to a hault and everything be perfect for Landon to go to sleep. How sweet he looks on that floor though! Cant wait to run a half marathon with you. Ben said I couldn't start yet though unless I wanted to involuntarily pee on myself for the rest of my life! Ha!
I wish I was going with you but knowing me I would probably require CPR before it was over. I know you'll do great and with your drive and practice and wouldn't be surprised if you placed. Missed you last weekend and hope Mark was really surprised. Miss and Love ya. Leslie
