As I mentioned in a previous post, a few girls and I went to Canton a couple of weekends ago. While we were there I kept saying, "Oh, we could make that...." By the end of the trip we decided we would have a craft day to make some of the things we wanted in Canton but figured we could make for even cheaper. Plus, the added benefit of having fun making it. So, for today we decided to tackle tutus. Yes, they are easy to make, but making something is more fun in a group. By the way Jackie, Kate is getting one for Christmas so don't make her one! :) We had a great time chatting away and tying knots in our tulle.

I made individual baggies with the supplies for kids crafts. Since the kiddos were with us I thought it would be great way to keep them occupied while we worked. They had more fun playing, but several of the girls put together the crafts. One was an owl and the other was a pumpkin.

Everyone got to take home a little loaf of pumpkin bread.

We had the yummy orange muffins from
Pioneer Women's website, pumpkin bread and Sausage and Egg Casserole. Top it off with a cup of Joe and we were ready to work.

Here is our finished product!

I can't leave out the two boys (there were actually 3, but Davis left before the picture), who held down the fort while the girlie girls sqealed and laughed. Don't ask me what Hayden is doing in this picture, but obviously he likes to talk with his hands.

Changing gears.....ha, ha, ha, get it gears, like a bike.....ha, ha, ha........just kiddin'. Here are a couple of pictures of the kids being silly with their bike helmets. They are seriously obsessed with these things so I had to take a picture. They kept banging their heads together. Hey kids, we need all the brain cells we can get....

I also had to attach a few pictures of the kids playing outside this evening. It was cool and felt good to run around in the backyard. Ella has really taken to soccer. I think we need to get her a "real" ball considering she is kicking a pool volleyball. Ha! She will run circles around the ball to keep us from kicking it and she will chase it down and kick at the same time. I'm impressed! ;)

The next several are of Mark throwing the kids and some of him with both Ella and Hayden. Too cute not to post. Love these precious kids and crazy guy. Hope you are all enjoying a cup of spiced tea tonight because it is chilly where you are! I LOVE THE FALL!!!

Do you mind e-mailing me the pictures you took? I want to order some! Thanks!
I have a few things to say.
1. So excited about Kate's tutu.
2. Look at Ella's long and beautiful hair blowing in the wind while she is playing soccer.
3. What in the world are your kids doing so high in the air???
Thanks so much again for planning such a wonderful day! I think I am going to call you Paula Stewart or Martha Dean from now on since you are such an amazing combination of the two. Can you send me the picture of all of us? Love ya sweet friend and I cannot wait to see what you plan for next time:-)
Oh my goodness...I can totally see Chad doing that to our kids and I know Jeff does it to Kalan. Those are great pictures and I know the kids have a BLAST, but isn't there something scary about the fact that they are so high, you can't even see Mark in the picture. That's crazy!!!
WOW. One person should not be blessed with some many talents. You always cease to amaze me with the things and ideas that you come up with. Seriously, share the wealth with the rest of us :)
