I don't think you will find many blogs out there from women proclaiming their love for their new zero-turn riding lawnmower, but you definitely will here!! I love it, I love it, I love it!!!! This weekend was great because Mark only played music Friday night which meant that we had the whole weekend to ourselves. We got alot of napping in, but finally on Saturday afternoon we went to make our purchase. Since buying this house, we knew that the lot was going to be too big to just push mow. The back still does not have grass, but weeds, that are needing to be whacked down. The front was big enough alone to push mow, but now that we have the most priceless piece of yard equipment I am ecstatic. After getting the final things assembled on it, I had Mark jump on to it so that he could figure out how to drive it. Wow does that thing fly!!! I immediately kicked him off so I could give it a try. We couldn't just drive it up and down the driveway, no, we decided that we should take on the backyard mess. It took no time!!!! I cannot wait for there to be grass out there now. I had been contemplating just poisoning the whole yard so that nothing would grow back there, but now that Toro has saved my life, I can't wait for the grass to start growing!!! I'm thinking about having Mark write a song to our beautiful Toro mower. It's perfect.Friday night since Mark was playing music, I decided on a whim to do some sewing. I've done baby quilts, blankets, etc., but have never made clothes. I knocked out 4 dresses for Ella and 1 outfit for Hayden. I had a lot of fun, but stayed up way too late. Thank goodness for lazy Saturday. I needed it!
Last of all, my running. Ugh. That's all I can say. UGH. I'm so far behind because of last week that my motivation is running out. Not that I am going to stop, but the 6+ miles may have to end. I ran 3 miles yesterday and the first 2 were nearly impossible. How was it that I ran 8 miles the Friday before. It could be that I still have so much congestion my head hurt or that I only ran once last week, but I definitely struggled. I did however enjoy lifting weights for the second half of my workout and have decided that if I can stick between 3 and 5 miles each time I workout then I can get a great cardio workout in and still have time for weights. We'll see. My mental toughness that I was so excited about is slipping, so I think I need to step back and reevaluate what I'm wanting to accomplish here. I'm just ready for this allergy thing to clear up!! It is killing me!!
Kiddos are still doing great! We're counting down to Ella turning 3 in a couple of months and Hayden is getting funnier everyday. We finish up Ella's gymnastics this week and will looking forward to the things that summer holds for our family!

Meredith, that halter dress is TOO cute! I actually got the bug to sew some dresses for Mallory and Morgan. Have you ever seen pillowcase dresses before? Search them on etsy.com and you'll totally want to start making them for Ella. That is my next sewing project for the girls. I just need to find the time! What did you make for Hayden??
Very cute dresses. Way to go!
Love the dresses. They are so so cute. Did you have a pattern or something? I want to try to make one now. Hmmm....
Oh my cuteness! So many hidden talents. Keep up the running!! You are doing great!
I forgot to comment about your hair in the last post. It is too cute!
Okay...
#1 - So glad you like the new Toro! :) Aaron could talk to you for hours about it, like I said, he LOVES ours.
#2 - If our 3rd child is a GIRL, I know who to come to for clothes! What a talent you have! I would LOVE to learn how to sew someday...but pretty sure that's not gonna happen any time soon! :)
#3 - Just reading of all your running made me tired! I am so proud of you...and if I could just get an ounce of your determination, I'd be set! Ha! Good for you! Hopefully I am joining you for a run up there soon - if I could only get my rear in great!
Anyhow, that is it. Thanks again for supper the other night, we had a blast! Can't wait to get together again soon! Call me or I'll call you. Have a great week and tell sweet Ella that Jake says hey! :)
Oops...that was supposed to say "rear in gear" but I guess "rear in great...SHAPE" would work, too! :) HA! See ya!
Very cute dresses!!! Faith has several like the last pic. They are so easy to do. I guess we will have to get together when we get back. Things have been crazy and I think I am getting sick now. Fun stuff.
Okay, I am not surprised at all that you sewed those adorable dresses, but very impressed! By the way...I stole your song! :) Merry
Wow! Cute dresses! My parents have one of those lawn mowers and they love it, too. Fun and functional! :) I think we might need one when we move back to Texas...that and a sprinkler system...:) We'll keep dreaming! ;)
Wow - you can SEW! Love the little dresses!
