Frogs, Flowers, Graduations, Oh My!

Yet again, a random group of ramblings on my part. To keep this a little organized I will try to keep all topics separated into separate paragraphs. But, it is definitely a ramble of events.

We have gotten to the point in our backyard that we could qualify for next years Rattlesnake Roundup. No, there aren't any snakes, but definitely the weeds to conceal them if we do. I decided I needed to go out and mow so that we could still keep an eye out for any wildlife and not get hurt. We are waiting for it to get consistently over 80 degrees so they can hydroseed the Bermuda grass in the backyard. Until then......UGH!!!! So, anyway, while making a pass back towards the tank I stopped in surprised, stopped the mower and let out a girlish scream. You would have though it was a yard gnome it was so big. What you ask? A FROG!!!! I am not exaggerating, the thing was huge. I was afraid to move because it could have eaten my leg, a small child, another animal. Nope, it just jumped in the tank and I headed to the house. Not because I was freaking out, but because I wanted my camera. He did not make a return to the surface for me, but his mighty big girlfriend did. I got a picture of her, but you can't see how big she really is because I don't have another object to reference her size. BUT, just so you know, she was like a yorkie compared to a doberman if she had of been next to they first one I ran into.
This is me trying to take creative pictures of the weeds growing in my backyard. It is amazing to me that God created things that are considered "weeds" and yet they can be so beautiful. So, here ya go for those art lovers out there who appreciate my photo randomness. This last Saturday we dropped the kiddos off at a relatives house and loaded up the car with Mark's brother and wife and headed down to A&M for Mark's sister's graduation. We left at 7am, drove to College Station, Graduation, drove back and were home by 9:30pm. I was impressed with how quick we made it and we were excited to be a part of Tara's big day. We are very proud of our Red Raid.... oops, Aggie.. :) We were also proud of her for skipping back past her seat after walking across the stage and heading out the door. That probably saved us another 2 hours of watching others walk across the stage. It was a neat graduation though and an honor to be there.Lastly, I'm sure you are all wondering about my running. I've kept it up! Friday night before we headed out of town on Saturday, I ran 8 miles!!! It took me a while, but I was proud of my time and my mile splits. I have never had a runners high were you feel like you could just keep running, (I always thought people who said that were kooks), but I found it right after mile 6. Go figure. That's the mile I've been stopping on the past 3 weeks. However, I guess the trip to humid College Station and whatever is growing right now has gotten to me. I really wanted to run on Sunday night, but felt AWFUL!!!!! Today wasn't much better. My head is totally congested and my body is achy. So, I decided tomorrow may be a better day. I'm going to have to push myself though so that I can keep my 3 times a week and make the 100 miles. It is killing me not to run today because I'm totally afraid that I'm going to lose my motivation if I don't go. On a good note though, before I felt totally wretched on Sunday afternoon, I had an awesome Mother's Day and so proud to be the mommy to Ella and Hayden. Mark made the day super special and I loved every minute. Thank you!! I love you!! (Don't you love that I'm posting sleeping pictures, that's when they are most angelic!) PRECIOUS!!!

Fun times! BTW, your hair looks cute like that. Keep up the running. I can't believe I'm proud when I walk around the neighborhood with Audrey strapped on to me. You're running like the wind, girl!

So you mean you can just walk out of there after your name is called?Wish I'd have know that years ago! ;) Of course I graduated to the B's which is a mile better than the T's. Painful either way, though... Graduations stink.
