So, I thought I would blog at 1am while hanging out at the 24 hr pharmacy at CVS here in Phoenix. That's right folks, not only have I been to a walk in clinic tonight but I now have the joy of waiting for over an hour for 3 rx's. Good news....
There is food and water here. Yes, there are also Twizzlers that I bought in bulk to keep my spirits up!
Things I've observed:
People get really ticked off being told their rx will take over an hour to fill.
Incredibly enough, you can have a 24 hr pharmacy with only one person working.
People decide that midnight is the perfect time to pick up birth control and diabetes supplies. Who would have thought?
The floors are really, really hard.
Even though I spend an extraordinary time in pharmacies on a daily basis, I never realized how understaffed a pharmacy can be. I also realize tat I am missing all the familiar faces I do normally see, but of course, do I get sick at home, nope, just hundreds of miles away.
Okay, I'm sorry for the gripping post. I'm trying to keep from breaking into tears again. I already cried when they said it was going to take an hour and I knew my driver wasn't going to be able to stay and wait on me. So now the pharmacist said he will give me a 5 minute warning before my script is ready, so I can call for another taxi.
I've been encouraged by Facebook friends to read the free magazines, but I don't want to spread my nasty germs on to others. I'm already kindly doing that already when I cough up a lung.
