Every morning on our way to school these past two weeks Hayden has been talking about his birthday. He is so ready for it to be here and since the majority of our family has summer birthdays, Hayden has been dying for his to get here. After a quick and probably not accurate week countdown, I announced that we only had 6 weeks left until Hayden turned 4. After another quick calculation, I realized in 6 months Ella would be 6 and in 7 months, Macy would be 2. How. Did. That. Happen? That beautiful girl at the top of the page will no longer be the newest student in the school, but instead a seasoned 1st grader. Hayden only has one more year until he joins her. I know that I become overwhelmed somedays with responsibility and the horrible sin of wishing time away. However, when I sat at that stop light this morning, sipping my coffee through a straw :), it hit me that childhood passes in the blink of an eye. How is it that their little lives move so quickly while I feel like I am sitting frozen in time, watching.

Hayden was not willing to oblige my photo shoot and instead got Buzz to take his place. Pictures are sometimes his thing and other times they are not. In his "deep" voice, he told me after that picture that I was only allowed one more. Hayden you are such a precious gift. I love you so much and am so proud of the little guy you are becoming. Please stop wishing for your birthday to get here. I'm not quite ready for you to grow up.
Speaking of growing up, guess who keeps begging for my Hot Tamales?
YEP!

Your kids are just beautiful (even when Buzz is hiding one of them!)! I can't believe how fast the years have flown by. Crazy, crazy, crazy!
That little girl is a hoot! Love that last picture. And of course I love Hayden's picture. If you can believe it, we have several of those over here of Jack and Buzz. :) Anyhow, and last comment...good momma introducing Macy to Hot Tamales early on! That a girl!!! :)
