Random Ramblings

If I would just stick with taking a simple stinkin' picture everyday this would not come out like a ramble of random things, but alas, I am Meredith and I think rambling is a part of my identity.  So let's begin.  I know all of you have been curious as to what we have been up to this week and it has been busy.  I started trying to take pictures the other night at dinner, but I failed.  The kids were crazy, they didn't look cute, hair flying everywhere, food on their faces and even though that is my reality and totally normal, it is not for the ideal "picture of the day."  Remember, I only want you to see us when I look like I have it all together.  ;)  Actually, I decided the evening was better spent taking pictures of these little feet......

I cannot believe how fast those little feet have grown.  I could still just eat them up!  Also while I was standing in the kitchen I realized that I forgot to show off my nail polish from my spa day!  Oh my!  I love it!  I never polish my nails because if I do it makes my nails horrible.  They peel, they bend, they are just not that great, but give me a manicure and I'll take it.  I know once this comes off my nails will be horrible again, but I went ahead and bought some more of this color because I think it is so cool.  OPI's Don't Wine, Yukon Do It.  Very Fitting, don't you think?  Again, I must say, other than trying to take a picture of my own teeth, taking a picture of my own hand is a close second on the impossible list of things too do with my camera.
Cool color huh?  Almost like ribbon candy.....Wow Mr. Powell, I must say, I still love my ring! ;)
On Wednesday, I had the impossible task of being creative and coming up with an "unusual snack" for Ella to take to school on Thursday.  Each week the kids take turns bringing items off a list and they cook a food item to correspond with the letter they are studying.  This week was a free for all and the kids were told to bring something unusual.  I tossed out the unusual part and went with what I had in the pantry.  Ella and I made chocolate dipped marshmallows on a stick dipped in sprinkles!  I'm not a huge fan of marshmallows, but hey they were pretty, easy and fun to eat.

Ella waiting for them to dry so she could eat them.  Amazing how time can stand still for a kid ready to pounce on candy.  She thought it was taking forever when it actually took 2 minutes for them to harden.

To conclude today's very insightful post, I thought I would give a few updates.  First of all, I know you are all dying to know what my teeth are doing......Well, I just have to say I am IN LOVE with Rembrandt.  I have continued to use the mouthwash twice a day and I believe it could possibly be a miracle worker.  I think for $6 it goes a long way and is an inexpensive alternative to the strips or trays or other treatments.  There is NO mess, it takes only 2 minutes out of your day and tastes minty fresh.  I cannot complain about it at all.  I mean, anything that does not make me drool like a rabid animal is a plus, right?  See for yourself.......

To see the progress here is the before....
and after the 2 hour treatment....
and now after a week......

I think they have only continued to whiten.  This last picture is bad though, so sorry.  It's blurry and kind of disturbing to see my mouth that close up.  Still you can see the spots on my teeth, but everyday I have felt that they look more uniform in color.  So, give it a try.  $6 and some change and I think you will be extremely happy!

Cute snack... I made those for K's 2nd birthday party and they were super easy! Do y'all have to do that every week or just take a turn! I hope just a turn! :) If every week, I'm glad we're in your MIL's class! Haha!

And... we always have it together, don't we? At least on our blogs! Haha!

Whitney, we actually are sent home a list of items each week and you sign up for one item that goes in the recipe. She makes sure that you don't have something every week but you do have something a couple times a month. It's not bad. This week we all had to send something because they were not cooking.
