Perfect Weather!

My Girls

How awesome is it that on the first day of Fall we never got out of the 70s? I love Fall, I love the colors, the smells, the feeling of it all. Leaving the windows open and feeling the cooler temps begs me to get in the kitchen and bake something. Preferably, Pumpkin Bread. Last night was the perfect time to pull out some of the canned pumpkin that I had bought in excess last fall and go to work. Wow, does that make the house smell great. It was a wonderful end to a great day. The kids helped me pull out the fall decorations which I had forgotten about. I had gone on a fall buying frenzy last year at Hobby Lobby. This year has been so jammed packed that it was a good thing I ran across one item that didn't make it in the decoration box and has been living in my cupboard. Ella was so excited to see the pumpkins come out of the box and the fall leaf garland for the fireplace. I think we are going to have to get to work on some fun projects soon because the kids are going to really be into the holidays this year. It is fun to see them understand better and better each year what is taking place during the seasons.

My Sweet Boy

As for the rest of our lives, Miss Macy is a sleeping queen. I could not be more blessed. She is doing wonderful and making life with 3 very manageable. Knock on wood. She has been letting me rest so well, that I decided it was time to try to run again. Friday night, at 6 weeks old, Macy slept from 11pm-6:30am. After she ate, I threw on my running clothes and headed out for my first 3 mile run. Well, run, walk, run. Ha! I was exhausted but it felt terrific to feel like my body worked again. After being pregnant for 9 months and then to add a broken foot to it, I was beginning to feel like I would never be physically active ever again. Since Friday night we haven't gone an entire night, but Macy has consistently been sleeping from either 10 or 11 until 3:30 or later and then going back to sleep until sometime after 8am. It is great! This morning I went for another run after she slept until 5. Got back and showered and lit my fall candles and had a cup of coffee while hanging out with Mr. Hayden. Once Ella got up we three chilled on the couch and watched a movie. All the while my windows were open and the 50 degree temps filled my house! Perfect!!!

I want to celebrate fall at your house. I keep thinking I need to get out my fall decorations, but have yet to do it. Sounds like you are getting more rest than I am...Macy needs to come over and teach Emory a thing or two. :)

I love feet pictures! ;) Hayden is looking sooo old. Sounds like Macy is doing great. I would celebrate every time Hudson had a good night (which is worth celebrating...), but then it always seemed like it was short-lived. Sad, but true. First he flipped in his sleep, then a cold, then...oh well. I figure if sleeping is our only problem, I am very blessed!!!
