Around here we've been staying busy. Mark played music at the West Texas Fair and Rodeo on Friday night. It was disappointing because the weather kept a lot of people indoors and away from the fair. It rained the entire time. That didn't keep us away though. The kids had a blast singing and dancing and watching their Daddy perform. Always a great time.
I thought I would also include a picture that brings us back to a few posts I had last year about the wildlife that would show up in my yard. It has been awhile since we have seen any creatures, but Thursday early evening, Mark and I looked out our back windows to see a coyote in our backyard grazing on something. Mark wanted to shoot it, I wanted to call animal control and after the debate was over, the coyote had escaped and no where to be found. I'm a little nervous to say the least to allow the kids in the backyard for fear of the coyotes return. Definitely not the "pet" I want in my yard.
Saturday morning we celebrated one of Ella, Hayden and Macy's great friend Karson and her 3rd birthday. It was a princess theme and Ella really enjoyed putting on her dress up clothes and wearing her crown. Hayden was given a cool sword and shield which is a favorite in our house right now and felt complete getting to sit on Karson's horse. If you have seen Hayden lately you would know that he has really gotten into sword fighting. He is very dramatic and is constantly acting out battle scenes in our house. As I type right now, Hayden brought me a sword, challenging me to a dual.Saturday night we celebrated Mark's Mom and Sister's birthday over at our house. So on Saturday morning I had some helpers come lick the brownie batter and cake batter off of the spoon. You have to love the brownie mustache.
Finally, I would like to mention the passing of my grandmother yesterday morning. She had a wonderful, full 96 years of life that impacted many people. Her passion for nursing and caring for others was something to be admired and her love of the Lord was inspiring. Always a go getter, volunteering at the hospital into her 80s, my grandmother was a woman that lived her life to it's fullest. I am thankful for the times we had over the past month or so where she was able to see my children and meet our sweet Macy. We will miss her but will cherish our memories.

You had some fun times and some tough times this weekend. We're praying for your family. I see Macy is getting those cute chubby cheeks. I didn't notice that at church yesterday. Adorable kiddos you've got!
YOU went a WHOLE WEEK without taking Macy's picture!? MERE!!! Not allowed. :) Our business will never accept that. ;) Okay, so the picture of Ella and her crown is a beauty! For once I really see Hayden in here there. Normally I don't think they look so much alike. And that sweet Macy...she can't possibly be almost 6 weeks. Time needs to slow down for yall...but speed up for us! ;) Love you. Been thinking of your family both yesterday and today. Love you!
I didn't know about your grandmother. What a long, wonderful life with so many friends and family to love. Miss you. Les
So sorry about your grandmother. We were in California visiting my grandfather. I'm thankful for the memories my girls got to make with him.
Ella look SO grown up in that tiara picture!!! Sounds like y'all have adjusted to a family of five!!
96 great years. Wow! Grandparents are so awesome. Sorry about your loss.
Also, I am with Mark. Take a shotgun to that critter. Sorry, but around our neck of the woods coyotes eat pet dogs and that is not acceptable!!! ;)
Just bought that same little crown from HL for Callies Halloween Cinderella costume. Making it this year. Hopefully it will turn out wearable. Joel said he wanted to be a pencil so I made a pencil. It's hilarious. I'm going to make Eli a Pink Pearl eraser. I know, I'm not right.
I had no idea you had 3 kiddos now!! They are precious!! Take care!
