This summer was spent at the pool. When we started out back in May, Ella was not interested in being in any pool other than the baby pool. For the first month and a half she would just hang out, meeting new little ones and carrying on conversations with the life guard, that she referred to as, "that man". Yep, pretty sure "that man" was 16. Ha. As the summer progressed though, Ella became more and more independent and brave. She began to swim in the big pool with her life jacket on and a few weeks ago became brave enough to go down the slide and jump off the diving board by herself. I decided yesterday that I needed to document her progress in the pool so that I can remind her next summer of all the things she did at the pool and does not regress. I'm hoping that I can take her up to the indoor pool during the next 9 months so that she does not forget how much she enjoys it. We will see how well that works out for us. Hopefully next summer Hayden will be enjoying the pool as much as his big sis, but for now he still enjoys a little basketball in the baby pool.
Move over Michael Phelps....
We couldn't forget to add a picture of what Miss Macy does at the pool....
I also wanted to add a picture of Ella and Hayden's first day of Mother's Day Out. They will go once a week so that Macy and I can get out and run our errands. It is a lot quicker with just one to load and unload from the car. Looking back, I never thought I would say that when I only had one.
Ella absolutely LOVED it and cannot wait to go back. Hayden on the other hand had a rough night the night before and I think it was a little much after limited sleep. However, I think he will do better next week. On a good note, Hayden is rockin' the potty training. He can pretty much go all day without an accident and has done this all on his own. I am so proud of him and feel like we have jumped a huge hurdle to have this behind us. I know we are not completely trained, but this was something I had been dreading and is definitely a blessing!!! Glad to know I didn't have to have 2 in diapers at the same time for more than a couple of weeks!
And one more picture of Miss Macy for good measure. We want to make sure that she is photographed enough..... insert sarcasm. I feel like I whip out the camera several times a day, I think I'm going to overload the computer. She's just too fun to photograph!

I love the little fish!! So cute! And brave! This is exactly what happened to Jake this summer...scared, got a little more brave, and then became pretty fearless. So cute! Your kidddos are adorable! I wanna come by sometime and see more shots of Macy. I know I can't WAIT to snap about a million of Jolee Kate! Here's to our future business! ;) Love ya!
I have to say you have 3 of the cutest kids ever! Looks like SO much fun at the pool.
What a big girl!!! You mean someday I can actually ejoy the time at the water park and pool??? :) Your kids are adorable! I'm so glad you get to enjoy some one on one time with little Macy. Miss you!!
Ella is TOO cute! Actually, beautiful, too. I'm impressed...I think she'll be an athlete for sure. That pic of you and Macy is great, too. If you have as many pics of Macy as you did of Ella as a baby, you'll be the first. :) I don't think you'll ever regret taking the pictures, tho.
