Is it legal to say that you had a great day when the words yard work are included? And the word Saturday?? I never thought the two could coexist until today. This is just a random post to say that today was a great day. Started off with Mark doing weed eating around the yard and then when that was done he ran a quick errand bringing us all back smoothies from Smoothie King, Yummmmm, and then we headed to the pool for some family time. Came back, I decided that I wanted to then mow the already edged yard (we had to let the grass dry out because our sprinkler system guys are crazy water people and are going to drown our yard....)so Mark entertained the kids while I mowed, we then put them down for a nap way late and because of it, Mark and I also got a two hour nap as well!
Mark had to play tonight and in fact he is still playing music right now, but it is great because it is for a party down the street that the kids and I got to go to as well. The kids loved seeing their daddy play as well as Uncle John. They danced and ran around and then when it was time for bed I loaded them up in the stroller and walked back home. Fantastic. Even better is that I won't be up all night worrying about Mark making it home safely. LOVE IT!!! And while I'm on the subject of L-O-V-E can I just say how in love I am with Mr. Mark. He will kill me if he ever reads this, but I don't think I publicly share that alot. I just really enjoyed watching him perform tonight and as well as the whole day that we got to spend together. We were not rushing around trying to get him ready to go play 3 hours away and he didn't play last night which was also a bonus of this weekend. We didn't go out of town for a random quick getaway and even though I enjoy those times too, this beats it all. Yardwork and Saturdays. Monotonous, but perfect! I definitely need to savor the simple times more because itwill be harder and harder as these little ones grow up and become busy in their own lives.
What are some of your favorite days??

Mushy-gushy! :) How sweet. Just kidding. I am glad yall had such a good family day! We did, too! Aaron came home for the day before heading back to "work" and we really enjoyed it! Aren't the best days the days that nothing to speak of really goes on but MUCH gets accomplished, like the all important yard work? :) We reorganized the kids toys, closets, and clothes! Can you say PRODUCTIVE? Pretty impressive way to spend our 5 year anniversary, huh!? Haha! Love ya! See ya manana!
PS. Shoulda just emailed ya! Sorry for the forever comment!
Sounds fun! I enjoy working in the yard and who doesn't enjoy hearing good music!
I love doing pretty much anything with Chad. Even working on the house or yard :), because you can look back at it and smile...and know that you accomplished something. I also love when it rains (you probably forgot what that's like), and any time I get to spend with my family.
I'm so glad Mark doesn't have to drive anymore. I know what that's like. Chad has lots of night meetings where he gets home after midnight, and it's tough for me when I get up at 5:30 am, but I can hardly sleep knowing I'm the only one who will be worried if he doesn't come home. I worry to much, but it's my man, so who can blame me. I'm kind of attached! I bet your kids are really going to have an appreciation for music now that they're able to see their dad perform. How fun!
