That's right folks. We're moving away from Midland once again to go on another Powell adventure. We're heading back east to good 'ole Abilene. As many of you know Mark's family is there and we both went to ACU and love it there so we're excited about this new step in our lives. Mark got a great opportunity with another bank and we could not pass it up. He's looking forward to working with several other great Christian men and as we all know that is a tremendous blessing to Mark and our family. We are going to be building in Abilene so it may be a while before I'm a true Abilenean, but none the less we will be there soon! We are sad to leave my family as they followed us out here, but it helps to have them in Midland because it gives us great opportunities to continue our wonderful friendships we have built. I have to admit that I am nervous about starting over, AGAIN, but I have a feeling that it will feel like home soon enough and hopefully we can get plugged into a great church there. We will definitely miss GCR and I'm not sure that it will ever be replaced. I cannot even begin to express my sadness about leaving such a tremendous church family. However, we will march forward and have a great time doing it!! I'll keep you all updated as the progress on our home here and there are going. As of right now, we still have a home on the market. Many lookers and phone calls, but I guess God's timing isn't quite right yet, so we continue to pray.
In other news, Mark got me some super cool running shoes. The new Nike plus. They have a pedometer built into the shoe and you have a wireless connector to your ipod nano. It will keep track of your workouts, calories, time, distance, etc. So, I guess that means I'm going to need to start working out again soon. Bummer. I do feel inspired though. I love the shoes, they're silver with lime green!! Love them!
Anywho, that's all the news here. Oh, one more thing, Ella pooped on the potty all by herself today without telling us she needed to go. Mark just went into the bathroom and found her on the potty. She is so precious! Ella and Hayden also just had their well checks yesterday and both got shots. Not fun leaving the peds office with two screaming kids, past naptime and with a hungry baby. Bad combo. I will never try to do that at the sametime again, by myself. Yikes! Hayden is still on the verge of crawling. Not there yet, but getting closer everyday. He tried to crawl off my bed to me today, but face planted again. He is very frustrated by it. I'll post more as our lives will continue to change over the next few weeks.

YEAH!!!!! I haven't gotten your emails because we can't check our stupid email except by our home computer which is still not up and running. I am sooooo pumped!!! How cool is that?!?! I can't believe it, but look forward to the details. I got your phone message and left you one too. I will try calling you again tomorrow.
Sorry for posting 2 comments, but my brother wants to know who your builder is. He is building right now too in Wylie ISD somewhere. We are planning to start building out on the same land in about a year. Anyway, let me know your builder and I will tell him. ;)
Whoa! Another roommate going back to Abilene??? It's like a whirlpool sucking you back in! How did Shannon ever escape Abilene?? If she moves back, I may have to join in on the fun. I'm glad Mark has a wonderful opportunity in front of him! Keep us posted on the houses and the move!
I was just back in that area visiting a friend. My brother is building off 1750 and 707. it is a little farther out. He is GC of the house since they do that stuff all the time, he was just curious because he knows most of them. Anyway, let me know when you are out here. call me.
Hey you! Congrats on the new job. Brandon actually just got a job offer that we cannot refuse, and that is taking us to Friona... about 4 hours west of abilene! Cheers to new jobs, new friends, and starting anew! I will be praying for your journey!
Hey Meredith! I saw that you guys were moving back to Abilene. Maybe I'll see y'all around. I live out off of Oldham too in a subdivision called blackhawk. It's not too far from Vaquero. When are you guys going to be moving?

Just when we leave, everyone moves out there! I'm excited for you guys and I bet Mark's parents are super excited to have the grandkids so close. I guess you will have to move back to Midland in 3 years to give all the grandparents equal time:)
