Ella the Potty Training Pro!!

Well, as many of you fellow bloggers noticed, I never completed my series on potty training. That is because after a few short days at the beginning of the summer I gave up, realizing that Ella wasn't quite ready yet. Well, things have changed and I thought I would give it another try before Mother's Day out started back up again in a month. So, Monday we went cold turkey on the diapers and pulled out the Elmo and Little Mermaid underwear. Miss Ella only had a couple of accidents that morning, but then by that afternoon she only had one. Tuesday went much better and only had a total of 2 accidents and by Wednesday, she had no accidents, made it through her nap dry and last night she made it all the way through the night still dry. She called out to me this morning and I got her and ran to the bathroom. I'm so proud of her. Also this morning, she accomplished both duties on the potty without a hitch!!! The child is probably going to be on a sugar high because of all the rewards she has been getting. Just praying that we make it at church on Sunday. That will be our first official outing with just undies, so I'm hoping she will go on the big potty. I have already moved her seat to the big potty so hopefully I can get her to try it without the seat so that she won't be in for a surprise at church!! Just had to brag. I'll try to get an infamous potty picture of her eventually. We all know that our parents did it to us, so we might as well pass along the tradition of potty pictures, right??

Hooray Ella...and mommy! That is great Mere. And I'm sure it will be great not having to buy 2 sizes of diapers anymore!! Good luck Sunday:)

That is great! My parents still get calls from my niece everytime she goes "poopy in the potty!" Can you imagine being so proud of this action? I wish I could bring that attitude to my life today!
