Last Weekend!

So, I just have to say I had one of the funnest weekends I've had in awhile. Friday night we went to celebrate two of our friends 30th birthdays, Whitney and April. We drove out to Valera and ate at Rancho Loma. All I can say is yummy. Here is what we had:

Mixed mushroom & goat cheese pizza
Rock shrimp & sweet pea rissotto
Roasted tomatoes & mozzarella salad with pine nuts, pesto and fresh basil
Grilled Premium Porterhouse for Two (The guys were licking the bone)
Chocolate cremoso with sea salt

We've decided we must all save our money and plan on celebrating something each month so we have an excuse to go there. It was well worth the drive and money for a special evening out. I highly recommend it to anyone!
The girls table!

On Saturday we hit the road with Ella to go to Ft. Worth. Ella was going to have some special time with her Aunt Tara, whom I forgot to photograph, while Hayden stayed behind and Mark and I went to the Jimmy Buffett concert. All I can say is that we had a blast and really enjoyed a grown up night. Thank you Tara!!

Our awesome neighbors that were generous enough to share their extra tickets with us and their friends!

On Sunday morning we got up and ate breakfast with Tara at Panera Bread Co. All I can say about that meal is if you ever go you have to get the Artichoke and Spinach Souffle. So good! Can you tell I'm pregnant yet, since I all tell you about is food?? After breakfast, Tara went to church and we headed to the Ft. Worth Zoo to spend some quality time with our Big girl!

On one final random note, I finally got inspired to sew again. We will be turning our office into Macy's nursery so I needed to come up with some window treatments. I am reusing Ella's baby bedding and had some fabric that matches so I went to town. We have these 5 small windows in the office so I think these turned out cute! Glad to have that project behind me. I made the bows with eye hooks on the back so that I can unclip the sash and let the shade down and the bow is still hanging in the middle of the shade, not just an undone piece of material.Hope that will tide you over for awhile. Mark is playing at the Ballinger Ethnic Festival this weekend if anyone is interested. I'll make sure to post pictures after the show/weekend!

Do you do sewing for money? Those drapes are wonderful. I need some for Hudson's nursery, but don't want to pay for them! ;) Homemade would be great. And I hear Jeff and Mark are good buddies. I would have never imagined that, but it makes sense...2 good ole' country boys who love to sing, play guitar, and love the Lord. Makes sense.
