Good Morning!

Hey everyone! I'm hoping everyone is waking to the wonderful weather we are having here in Abilene this morning. It is dark and overcast, breezy and thundering. I love this. I have the windows open here in my office as I type and enjoying the wind playing with the mesquite trees in the backyard. It sounds perfect. As for us, we have been busy bees this weekend. Mark had two gigs in Ballinger and we decided to make it a family trip. Friday night he played with Tommy Alverson and then on Saturday he played for the Ethnic Festival. The weather was a tad bit windy, but other than that it was great. Thanks to Kaely, Will, Kevin and Cody for coming out to support Mark as he played! The kids had a fantastic time dancing and tackling each other while enjoying the music. At the festival, the kids enjoyed riding on the ponies. Well, all of them with the exception of Hayden. As you can see I had to stand beside him the whole time or else he would have jumped off. Ella on the other hand, LOVED it and wanted to go back and ride again. Too bad it was $5 each time you rode.

My funny girl!Isn't this the cutest little advertisement you have ever seen??
This picture cracks me up! Kate gave Ella the cold shoulder when I asked the girls to pose for a picture together. Kate had nothing to do with Ella and you can see the disappointment on Ella's face. She was in obvious need of a nap. Kate's face on the other hand is priceless.

As for our kiddos, they are getting bigger everyday. Last night Mark and I just relaxed as we had company come in town as soon as we got home on Saturday evening that didn't leave until Sunday late. We had dinner, sat on the backporch while I gave haircuts to the boys and folded laundry. It was really nice. Mark decided that he would like to make some asparagus, which if you know him then that isn't that surprising as he likes to eat whole bundles of asparagus at any time of day. After it was done cooking, he loaded up his plate and sat down. Insert, kids run into room as fast as they can to see what you are eating. Ella immediately looked at it and said, "Ew, that looks gross! I can't this, but Bubba can......Hayden you come eat this, it's good." Just another reminder that she is growing up and already manipulating her brother. We had a big laugh. Hayden actually liked it though! Surprise, surprise. As far as Hayden goes, the other day he was trying to get the drawer closed in the kitchen, but a rag was keeping it from staying closed. He kept pushing on the drawer and then finally stepped back and pointed his finger at the drawer and said, "OBEY!" Obviously, he hears this a lot. :)

That's the update from here. I hope you enjoyed the pictures and can you believe only 9 days until I slip into the double digits left until Macy arrives. Goodness this is going quick!
