Random Post

Of course I have these kind of posts often, however I have a hodgepodge of stories and pictures to share. First of all, can I get an amen on how perfect the weather is here today!!! 77 degree on January the 9th is pretty amazing. I'm in heaven!!! Since we have been having some great weather, I have been allowing the kids the freedom of roaming in and out of the house to go play outside. I put a step ladder out so they could get on and off the trampoline easily. I have now found Hayden asleep on it twice. Today I snapped a picture because I thought it was priceless. Because of the wonderful trampoline and lots of smiles and giggles from the kids I decided to play with my camera the other day. I thought some of you might enjoy seeing them. Can you tell I'm obsessed with black and white photography???? I love it! I love the detail, the depth, the feeling you get from black and white photos. Plus, I haven't figured out all the special features of taking color photos. Ha!

Lastly, I leave you with a story from last night. We had some friends over to eat burgers and while my friend was taking her little girl to the bathroom she called my name. I came into the bathroom and she asked me, "Meredith, is that a flashlight in the toilet?" Um, yes, I now have ground effects coming from the insides of my potty. Somehow it had stayed lit and had maneuvered its way deep in the hole in the bottom and was glowing. Hilarious! I was able to, (insert yuck, yuck, yuck) stick my arm in the potty and fish out the flashlight. I disassembled it so it could dry out and yes, it still works. I'm not sure who the culprit was, but it sure was fun to turn out the lights and see the potty glow. Now that gives a whole new meaning to a "sparkling" clean potty.

Hope you are all enjoying the beginning of your weekend!

You should make a commercial for that flashlight. Skip the toilet images, but I can't believe it still worked!!!

Hey Meredith I just happened upon your blog...you have the cutest kids. Obviously they provide plenty of entertainment in your household. :)

Thanks for your input on the eating issues. And you are right about it wearing on you more than the kiddos. I have tried the timer thing and it has been working for the last two days. I am sure we will have a struggle here soon.
