I have walked by my computer several times today to see that the temperature box has never shown a number higher than 23.
Burr is all I can say. It truly is a
wintry day. I know that everyone I have talked to knows how much I am not a fan of cold weather, but days like this are nice. Schools are closed, the roads are empty and the sky just takes on a gray color. It really is beautiful outside if you get a chance to step out and look at the ice glazed trees and grass. There is a slight breeze that makes the branches crack when they gently move. It is a different sound, but beautiful to say the least. It looks magical in an empty lot across the street that at this time of year typically looks like a bunch of stick coming out of the ground. Today however, it looks like the entrance to the Sugarplum fairy that Ella is so intrigued by lately. Yes, even though the weather is a
blustery 21 degrees right now, my sweet child is wearing her ballerina dress up out fit. It is no more than a leotard with a little skirt. I get frostbite
every time I look at her. She's not cold though, she is in imagination mode thinking that she is Clara from her Barbie, The Nutcracker, movie. Hoping today you are all cuddled up inside!

That IS a pretty picture! Has anyone ever told you you should be a photographer!? ;)
Sleet, ice and snow can even make mesquite trees pretty!! Our day felt like that, but didn't look near as wintery!!
The ice storm made its way here this morning and the schools are closed. It is just going to be on of those lazy days, although I do have to go to the store. Rebecca and Annie dress in their leotards and skirts and are princesses for the day. Every once in a while they complain that they are cold but don't want to get something warmer on.
I wanted to take a pic. at ACU so bad. It was so pretty!!!! I had to get out unfortunatly, but it was so pretty everywhere.
Its been cold here too so I agree brrr!!
