Miss Ella

This week so far has been really exciting for Miss Ella. Hayden has been staying with my parents since Saturday so she has been spending alot of one-on-one time with Mommy and Daddy. It really has been fun so far. We of course miss Hayden so much and I think Ella is sad that he isn't pestering her everytime she turns around, but there is definitely an upside for Ella to be an only child this week. We got to go have ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery and she got to pick out what she wanted. I ended up eating the majority of the ice cream because Mark is a health nut and Ella was more interested running around the store. No pictures of this encounter. It was kind of on the edge of not being fun because Ella was tired and not so into the whole event.

Yesterday was a big day though! We got up and met with our dear friend Kim and headed to the nail salon! Yes, yes, yes! I now am the owner of beautiful toes! Ella too! We decided to have a girls day and Kim left her boys at home and headed out on the town with us. Ella once again was undecided about whether this was a fun event or not because she was told to sit still alot so that she wouldn't mess up her new paint job on her hands and toes. My goodness. She had to have them repainted atleast a half dozen times. Whatever, they're messed up, but once again she's only 2!! So, we'll move on. After our fun time with our toes, we headed to Olive Garden for lunch! YUMMY!! That is all I can say. I haven't gotten to go in ages and it was a lot of fun with these 2 girls! Kim was great enough to take pictures of us during the pedicure and lunch so we have some memories. To all the other moms out there in blogland......Isn't it amazing how you disappear from pictures once kids arrive. I'm glad I have these pictures of Ella and me together because I'm the one usually taking all of the pics.....well other than our trip to the lake where I made Mark take the camera. That can sometimes backfire on me. Mark takes some strange pictures totally unrelated to us for the sake of a good laugh. It makes me nervous. Ha!
It looks like Ella is going to stab me in the eye with the knife, but I decided to include the picture.

I thought I would also include some pictures from our fun day last week at this jump around, bounce house place. It was so much fun! It took Ella a while to warm up, but once she did she didn't want to leave. Hayden was having a ton of fun too! I'm glad they enjoyed it because it was only $5!!! I love cheap entertainment! Hope you all have a great rest of the week!
Oh, I had to include one more picture. This is my Dad "Da" playing with the kids on our floor. Ella and Hayden love to torture anyone who lays down on the ground with a good ole' jump on your chest game. UGH. It kills me, but here is my Dad being a good sport with them. I think it is funny that I'm taking a picture and both my Mom and Mark are just hanging out in the background. We could have saved my Dad, but no, it is a great photo opportunity. Sorry Dad!!

I had SO much fun with you, too! Our little girls day was a blast! I love my toes...maybe Mark is right and we SHOULD go once a week! :) HA! Anyhow, thanks for such a fun day! Maybe our 3rd kid will actually be a GIRL and we can all 4 have a girls day someday! If I could only figure out how to make sure we have a girl next...hmmm. :) Anyhow, and yeah, I enjoyed being the photographer that day, and I have to say, yall did a great job at being the models! Hope Ella is still enjoying her nails. And oh yeah, it might even be an understatment to say they were re-painted a half dozen times. AT LEAST that many...if not more! Poor Ella, she did good though! Talk to you manana!
