What a sad, sad day. My bracket lost big time. Mark and I could hardly talk about it when Memphis lost the Final Four. Exciting game, but a disappointing end. Sorry for the loss Tigers, but we're still your faithful fans.
Then I looked out my front door to see what all the racket was and I saw this....
I felt sorry for those guys and just knew that their hard work and tons of concrete were about to be ruined, but I had a good giggle seeing those guys pour that concrete as fast as they could. They were on overtime. Pretty amazing site. I don't believe I've ever seen construction workers move quite that quickly. Random, I know. No rain ever fell that day, amazing enough, but the wind sure did move in and that could have been just as bad for those concrete workers.
Actually, I lied. I found an Ella and Daddy picture from when we went to Brownwood two weeks ago. The second picture is of Ella and the friends we went with checking out the minnows they bought so that the guys could catch fish and bring them back to our tank. (Nice run on sentence.)No luck. But, the girls sure did enjoy the minnows! In fact, Ella really loved fishing with her pink pole until she caught one and it pulled her fishing pole off the deck and into the water. Oops!
Spreaking of the tank in the backyard, it has now turned from the Flushes 2000 blue to Swampy green. It's just that the color has gotten diluted by the rain we've had, but I think I liked the blue better. Actually I'm just ready for it to look normal. Ha! If that will ever happen.
I promised at the beginning of the week that I would post soon and with pictures, so here I am. This is definitely not a very thought out post, just random things that came to mind. So, get ready for a good Meredith ramble. Pretty typical......
I had a good laugh earlier in the week when I woke up and the sun was shining brightly. I wasn't laughing because of the sunshine, but because of the HUGE rain cloud that was forming to the West. I looked out the back windows and got excited about what looked to be imminent downpour. It looked like this.....
I love Spring, I love the rain, I love West Texas for the whole reason that I can see those big ole' rain cloud forming. I do NOT love W. TX for the wind. We had a bad day yesterday and today my head can feel it. UGH. Congested and stopped up. Thank goodness for some Tavist D!! Anyway, I can't get Ella to sit still for any pictures lately, so all I have for you today are of Mr. Hayden. He sure is growing. He is walking like crazy and looking crazy too. He likes to walk with his arms stretched above his head for balance. Very interesting. He thinks he's a pretty funny guy too. He has quite the personality. I still can't believe we have moved on past the one year mark. I'm still sad about it.
Oooooh! Random comment ahead..... I had an exciting thing happen when I received a survey in the mail with a brand spankin' new 10 dollar bill attached to it! I felt like I needed to participate in the 16 page survey so that I deserved the 10 dollar bill. I think I may want to become a professional survey filler outer when I grow up. I just wonder how many people accidentally throw out the survey and the 10 dollars! Yikes! Makes me want to do some dumpster diving!

In other news, I had an email sent to me about the whole Oprah religion thing and I was on YouTube all day yesterday watching all the videos about her.
Very interesting. Just want to remind everyone that Satan is alive and well and can come in many forms. We just need to be on our guard to be able to accurately decifer between good and evil and the truth and a lie. I am very concerned to where our nation is heading and we need to take a stand for our beliefs. We need to constantly bathe our country in prayer and especially those out their who are fighting on our behalf. That leads me to my last topic. Did anyone see the family recieve the medal of honor for their son who died for his friends? I was laying on the bed, flipping through the channels when I ran across the ceremony on some news channel. I don't know why I stopped to watch, but tears were streaming down my face. What an instantanous action that changed people forever. He didn't even give it a second thought to lay his life down for two other men beside him. Where he was fighting a grenade had been thrown up at him and his team when it bounced off his chest he jumped on top of it to absorb the blow. Seriously folks. That is a deep rooted reflex that he had. It really did get to me. I wonder what I would have done. My first thought was why didn't he just grab it really quick and throw it back. I then shortly realized that I have been watching too many unrealistic movies and there probably wasn't that kind of time. I will move on, but what an inspiration.
If you've continued on this far, you are a faithful blog reader, or else you are extremely bored and thought it would be fun to read a crazy, stay at home mom's rantings to see if she's slipped off the edge. Well, in any case, I kept my word and blogged, but I'll make another promise and see if I can keep it again. I promise my next entry to be a little more interesting, connected and organized. Love you all!

I love catching up with you by reading your blog! By the way...Ella and Annie have the same polka dot shirt from the Gap! I think it is adorable on both of them! Merry
If you miss the baby stage already, I guess you better get going on #3! Ha! Ha! I saw that Oprah video, too. Very disappointed. She's going to have to give account to her maker...It's unbelievable how influential she is. Scary!

I am glad to see that another stay at home mom can ramble like me. Somedays you just want to complete a thought without getting side tracked.
