Couple Weeks Worth of Updates

Yes, once again I disappeared from blogville, but sometimes everyday life gets in the way and trying to document, photograph and organize it all doesn't seem worth it.  I've been busy working on a new website and CD album covers for my husband's band and so it hasn't left much time for personal blogging.  However, I have picture and updates so hold on tight!  It may be long!

Week before last was the kids end of the year program.  We had lots of laughs watching Hayden sing on stage with his little fish fin attached to his rear and the occasional look behind the curtain routine.  Ella also did a couple of songs with her class, but the big event was graduating from Pre-K.  I cannot believe the next time we see a school program it will be her in Kindergarten.  Very Exciting!

Speaking of fish....Mark took the kids out for a quick errand while I cleaned up the house and they returned with their very own Betta fish!  They have been fun to look at and so far not too much trouble.  We learned really quick that they can't both be in the same tank so that made for a mad dash back to the store to get separate containers.  The kids named them Phillip and Zaiah.  Not sure where those names came from......

In other fun news, for Mother's Day I got a new camera lens!!!!  A 50mm!!!!  I have been playing with one that belongs to my friend Kim, but finally got my own!  I have been having fun playing with it and I'm looking forward to all the possibilities of how to utilize it.  Macy can be the model for that picture....

Speaking of Macy, she thought she should graduate too......

Some sad news around the house, Hayden went flying through the air off a swivel chair in our office and landed face first on our hardwood floors.  He knocked out one of his front teeth.  Nice.  We are pretty sure it will be no less than 3 years before we see a tooth in that hole.  Ha!
This is the expression I got when I asked him to show me his missing tooth.  Cracks me up.  He does not seem to mind and was relatively pain free by that evening.  He has not complained once since it happened and I'm just thankful he wasn't even more hurt.  The next picture shows how swollen his lip got.  Actually the picture does not do the swelling justice.  It was BAD.  I told Mark it looked like he had an awning for a top lip.

One more picture and we're done.  Just thought Ella needed another picture to help show off my new lens.  I thought it was funny that the Tooth Fairy brought Ella a sucker as well and I am amazed at how well it matched her dress Sunday.

I guess I should learn how to photoshop that bruise off of Ella's forehead.  Oh, I'm so ready for my kids to stop getting hurt.  Hope you are all doing well!

WOOHOO!!! You are back!!! :) I've missed you! Can't wait to catch up with you again soon, too. It's been a few days! Ha! Anyhow, love all the pictures, but that bottom one of Ella is AH MAY ZING. WOW! It sure helps that she is beautiful though! I don't think one could take a bad picture of that girl. Beautiful. Love ya.

I am right there with you on how you are ready for the kids to stop getting hurt. I haven't been blogging because it will take me too long to chicken peck on my keyboard. I broke my hand in the car door while taking my 4 year old to the hospital to get her broken arm set. We both are in casts. Our broken bones happened 12 hours apart. Oh and the dog got bit by a snake. Super crazy around here.
