5 years and counting!

Our Honeymoon
(look at the long, blonde hair!!)

It is once again time for celebration! Mark and I will have been married 5 years on June 29th. So, yes, I'm a little early and blogging about it, but I figured I had some time while the kids napped. I really lucked out when finding Mark. I know that it wasn't "me" who found him, but I do know that I feel so blessed to have him as my life long partner. That sounds really cheesy and I know when Mark reads this he is going to make fun of me, but I think it is important to share how much this man means to me. These past 5 years have flown by. I cannot believe what all we have gone through together in such a short period of time. We moved 3 times, bought 3 houses, remodeled 3 houses, had 2 kids, 2 dogs and a partridge in a pear tree. Ha! ha! Really though, I can't imagine having gone through any of these experiences without him. We've had a lot of fun and alot of struggles, but in the end we've remained best friends. I want our kids to see us as fun parents that enjoy being together and doing things together. I want them to know and to see that their parents are in love. I want us to be the best examples to them in how a marriage should be and that God should be the center of it all. We're learning more and more about each other and ourselves in this process called life, but I know that my life has been enhanced beyond measure by getting to spend it with Mark. I love you!
(Forgot to add this note earlier about the song that is playing; this is the song I sang for Mark when we got married, this isn't me singing, but the one from the original artist. I just think music adds alot to a story and this one really touched my heart! I love it!! How could I ask for more??)

Happy anniversary on Friday! I hope you guys do something fun. It seems like just yesterday that y'all were newlyweds and new in town and we were making you watch "The Sixth Sense" with us! Two kids, two dogs, and several houses later... we're glad you're our neighbors and our friends!
Love you guys, Dana
